Our Euphorbia has really started to fill out with all the heat. This would be perfect to plant for cutting. I can see big bouquets of this in mason jars for a wedding.

This delightful tropical shrub has been embraced by gardeners everywhere for its amazing purple foliage that has a decidedly iridescent shine. Its unique color makes Persian shield a stunning specimen plant or a top pick for fun combinations in garden beds, borders, or containers. And because it's not particularly large (Persian shield usually tops out around 3 feet tall and wide), it fits just about anywhere.

Thunbergia Black Eyed Susan Vine is a fast growing annual vine that blooms all summer.

Profuse, bright pink flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds to the garden all season. Neat, dwarf form is ideal for borders in shrub plantings, perennial gardens or massing as a small-scale ground cover. Attractive combined bold foliage plants. Herbaceous perennial.

Large flowers up to six inches across provide an unusual and exquisite ever-changing blend of colors. When opening, blooms appear mostly pink, but are actually light yellow heavily flushed with deep lavender pink. As flowers mature, the pink and yellow fades to pale white, with a large dark burgundy flare in the center. Blooms appear early May through end of June. Finely cut dark green foliage and a rounded form make this an excellent landscape plant. Hybridized by Don Smith, a leading Itoh Peony breeder.

Incredible color, petite size, super disease resistant, what more could you want? This everblooming gem has double blooms whose outer petals are dark pink changing to orange and finally to bright yellow at the center. The small, perfectly rounded form would make it an outstanding informal hedge along a walkway or garden path. The color is so easy to combine it should have a place in every perennial border. 

A marked improvement over 'Mary Washington', with a much higher percent of male plants which produce larger spears. If you've tried to plant asparagus roots in the past and haven't had much success, we've got pre-potted asparagus already growing in the greenhouse. Makes it easy to get a good start on your crop. Unfortunately, you still have to wait a couple years to start harvesting, so don't delay, get your patch started this season!

Rhubarb pie is one of summer's sweetest pleasures.
Excellent sweet, tart flavor, bright red color and plump tender stalks. Extra-large root establishes quickly. Growing to 24", this buckwheat relative mightily yields plump, non-stringy, ruby-red 24" stalks. Winter-hardy, highly adaptable plants

Good variety for cooking when flavor is desired but not color.
The plant is nearly perfectly round and the shoots grow rapidly in spring. Harvest before shoots get tough for perfect preserves, pies and freezing.

Deep pink to red flowers are followed by persistent red fruits. Stunning purple foliage that is deeply lobed turns bright orange-red in the fall. It is highly ornamental in the landscape.

Supertunia Vista petunias are very vigorous, with mounding habits that can reach up to 2 feet in height in the landscape and will trail over the edges of baskets and containers up to 4 feet by the end of the season.  They are fantastic landscape plants and are great in large containers, where they function as both fillers and spillers.  In garden beds, they will work either in the front or middle of the bed.  They have medium-sized flowers.

Burpee's Pineapple Heirloom Tomatoes are huge tomatoes with flavorful yellow/orange flesh. One slice is all you need for a sandwich. One of Julie's favorites!

Brandywine Red is one of the most popular and best-tasting heirloom tomatoes. These are very vigorous plants that bear large-lobed, beefsteak-shaped fruit and are perfect for slicing. The think-skinned, pinkish-red tomatoes are flavorful, but not acidic.

This medium-sized, very dark maroon beefsteak, with wonderfully rich flavor, originated in Crimea, a peninsula in the Black Sea. Extremely tasty!

Walking through the greenhouse makes everyone hungry for fresh greens! Lettuce Baskets from East River Nursery are ready to start harvesting! These can be cut and will re-grow for bowls full of delicious salads.

Finally, a winter hardy wisteria that will reliably bloom in the spring and survive our cold winter temperatures.  “Summer Cascade” comes out of Minnesota and we were delighted to see it bloom in our containers pots. (The old varieties sometimes took 7-8 years before blooming in the ground!).  Plant this one on a sturdy trellis or structure, since it will grow quite large and last for years in the garden.
