It’s not too late to plant spring blooming tulips and daffodils this fall. Bulbs can be planted as long as you can dig a hole! Julie has planted as late as the middle of December! Our tulip and bulb collections make it easy to decide what color combos to use.

These are a little slower growing, so we only get them in larger sized containers.

Pineapples are in the Bromeliad family and are one of our most popular fruits for containers! These stay a little smaller for tight spaces.

Any Anthurium lovers out there? You can use them as as house plant, but I think they would be fabulous in an outdoor pot on the patio. They can take good morning sun and then would like to be shaded in the afternoon.

Having some fun today with special orders for succulent trays. It’s all about textures and natural colors. Our wicker candles are a great accent. We’ve got tons of new succulents arriving for spring. If you don’t have a green thumb we’ve got artificials that look so real you can’t tell the difference.

Diamond Rouge is another great hydrangea in the line from Bailey Nurseries that offers stunning color for the late summer garden. Flowers start out blooming white and then age to a deep burgundy pink color, lasting for up to 6 weeks of bloom power. 

Now is the time to plant flowers for great fall color. People tend to think about fall mums or asters for autumn color, but Flowering Kale is a color-packed foliage plant that blooms well into the fall season. They seem to have anti-freeze in their veins, some have been reported to last into December and January! 

People are always amazed that we have a Hardy Hibiscus that will come back year after year and is hardy for South Dakota. Giant tropical type flowers bloom in August and September, filling in those bare spots in the late summer garden. Give these plenty of water and you will be rewarded with literally 100's of blooms from one plant! 

Gotta have some of the tropics? Try this unusual Bromeliad in a pot indoors or outside.

Our gerber varieties of Garvinea are starting to put out some flowers. You will remember that these are the ones that are better performers in our hot South Dakota weather and will not shut down flowering when it gets warm.

Peonies will be popping soon, some of the early ones are already beautiful! Make sure to check out our Itoh variety of peonies from Monrovia Plants! The yellow ones are spectacular!

Among the most cold hardy climbing roses! Produces deep pink, fragrant blooms for cutting. A natural climber that is best used on fences or arbors. Cutting faded flowers extends blooming season. Blooms on new wood; prune in late winter to early spring to promote new growth.

'Diamond Rouge®' has abundant, long lasting flowers on strong stems that start out white and progress to pink, raspberry red and finally wine red. Flowers start blooming in July and take on red coloration earlier in the season than other pink paniculatas.

A well-mannered Obedient Plant that does not aggressively run like others do. Tall stems with glossy, dark green leaves are topped with pure white flowers. A choice plant for perennial borders and containers.

This unique bi-color African daisy adds a long season of bright color with sunny yellow petals framing beautiful blue eyes. Compact, mounding form is perfect in patio containers and mass color plantings, or mixed perennial borders. Evergreen in frost-free areas.

Plumbago is a bit of a sleeper plant in the garden: It just sits there all spring and summer, then suddenly erupts into color in late July or early August. The show starts with a display of attractive true-blue flowers that sit daintily upon the foliage. Once the blooms begin to appear, they continue on and off until hard frost. 

Rex begonia offers colorful foliage and is one of the most interesting indoor plants around. Despite its exotic looks, Rex begonia is actually easy to grow. Because it's a relatively short houseplant, Rex begonia is perfect for desks and tabletops where is wildly colorful, variegated foliage makes it a perfect contrast against other houseplants.

Very vigorous and quite trailing. It is good in both landscapes and containers. It has very large flowers with excellent weather tolerance. It will function as a spiller in containers and is best used at the front of beds.
